Ever felt inexplicably attracted to someone, before even talking to them ?
Feeling like you've known them forever, recognizing the way they move, feeling your body slowly gravitating towards theirs, until you find yourself starting a conversation with them, because you just have to hear their voice. And when you do, their words seem to be your own; as if they had direct access to your thoughts.
I am not talking about physical attraction or even inflatuation that blinds you from the truth about the human standing in front of you. I am talking about that almost magical feeling of recognizing a soul. A soul made of the same cloth as your own. A long lost connection finally found again.
How many times have you been lucky to experience this ?
How many times have you been lucky to brush up with someone from your soul tribe ?
Many religions do at some point or another describe some impenetrable relationship between humans. Some godlike intervention that makes us yearn for someone else, energetically. Calling them soulmates, twin flames, karmic and whatnot.
But how really are we connected to others ? And how exactly can we try to make sense of the meaning of each connection we create ?
From what I've gathered this far, most religions and beliefs gravitate around one main idea : there is a energy source -some call god- that divided one energy source into multiple ones, creating thus all living things.
In essence, that means that every single living thing, present in any dimension, is linked to each other.
Within that larger division, the source creates soul tribes. A group of souls particularly linked by one goal assigned by the source to assist the collective consciousness.
In resume : each living soul is created by dividing one same energy source, each one of them has a mission bringing balance into the universe, to accomplish that mission they're paired with other souls (your soulmates), which creates that inexplicable bond you feel upon meeting them in the 3D.
Keep in mind that soulmates are not exclusively romantic. They can be blood relatives as well as friends.
Recognizing your soul tribe
Communication flows effortlessly
Being around them feels natural, you both automatically understand each other without having to extensively explain your ideas. That level of mutual understanding doesn't mean you have the exact same beliefs, it means you both fully understand each other, whilst withholding any kind of negative judgment whatsoever.
Perfect timing
You pop in each other's lives at the moment you need it the most. You've been put in each other's paths to balance each other out. They help you put an end to painful pasts as well as deal with new hardships you're faced with. Making sure you're working at your full potential. They're the ones who want to help you accomplish your goals, push you towards greatness and make sure you become the best version of yourself. They will, through love and support, help you see yourself in a new light. With their guidance, your soul will feel uplifted not crushed down by pressure.
Feeling like home
How cheesy right ? But that is exactly what they feel like : warm, familiar, home. You have no issue sitting in silence for hours next to each other without feeling the need to entertain, they are part of the first people you want to share your daily experiences with; good or bad and you can be unapologetically yourself around them. Around them you are in your most human form possible.
It's physical
When the relationship with a soulmate is romantic; you feel irrationally attracted to each other. Constantly wanting to be close to them, touching them; even if it's just holding hands. Your body aches for theirs in ways that transcends logic. Being together feels like a perfectly coordinated dance you seem to have rehearsed a thousand times.
Soul mate or twin flame ?
What distinguishes a soulmate from a twin flame is more than just the romantic aspect of the relationship.
A soulmate can have different beliefs and life experiences but still be able to understand you fully. A twin flame however is a mirror to your own soul. You'll find pieces of yourself that you love (& hate) in that person. They'll mirror behaviors to show you what you need to work on and others you need to cherish. You'll often as well have the same scars (ex.passing of a family member) bringing you even closer together through shared pain.
Twin flames have often complicated relationships at first. They're meant to stimulate growth and change by challenging us. It is only when both twin flames accept the awakening and the work that goes with it that the relationship can evolve. You'll often read about the 'twin flame journey' which is a repeating pattern through which most twin flames go through to finally end up in sacred union. We're not all meant to be paired up with our twin flames in this lifetime. We're not all ready to go through the work and awaken in this dimension.
This is why most people end up with a soulmate. Their love is easy and peaceful. Their mission is to stimulate change through gentle love and support whereas twin flames often cause conflict.
And what about karmic ?
Karmic partners are often mistaken for twin flames as they cause complicated and often challenging relationships as well. They're literally sent to mistreat you, like shock therapy, to make you comprehend life lessons the hard way. You will keep being sucked into karmic relationships until you have fully integrated the lesson to be learned. There is no faking with the universe, you'll have to go through it, understand it and finally be set free. Luckily karmic are temporary. They've been sent to balance out a karmic debt (aka karma).
No matter your beliefs, the strength and dynamic of some relationships you may have experienced is undeniable. In each and every connection you have been active and passive. Simultaneously teaching and being taught a valuable life lesson that is meant to create balance on a larger scale.
Realizing the importance of our connections and our place in each one of them is the first step to awakening through love. Going through our own shadow work (personal work through which we purge pieces of ourselves that no longer serve us energetically) and putting aside our ego to focus on what really makes us evolve as human beings is a long journey we're meant to go through continuously in some shape or form. Whilst no one is ever really sure what their mission exactly is, it is clear that unconditional, mutual love the answer is to withstanding hardships that come along with that mission.
